McKinney Custom Pools was first formed in 2003 as McKinney Mowing & Landscaping by Jeremy McKinney and his wife Anya. After retiring from the NFL in 2002, Jeremy wanted to build a business that offered area homeowners service and quality that they could rely on. The strong work ethic Jeremy gained from his football career transferred naturally to the new business. Before long, we had established a solid reputation in the Pearland area as a top quality landscape and pool maintenance company. In 2007, we decided to expand our business to include custom swimming pool design and construction, making this our primary offering. To reflect this shift in services, we changed our name to McKinney Custom Pools. While we continue to offer a variety of landscape design and outdoor living services, we specialize in the design and construction of luxury pools, working closely with area homeowners to create beautiful pools customized to reflect their unique style and needs.

Jeremy McKinney

Jeremy McKinney gained valuable experience working in the landscaping industry while attending school in Denver, Colorado. After high school, he left behind landscaping to attend the University of Iowa on an athletic scholarship. There he played football for the Hawkeyes for four years, before graduating to the NFL and playing for notable teams such as the St. Louis Rams, the Cleveland Browns, the Houston Texans, and finally, the Dallas Cowboys. After retiring from the NFL in 2002, Jeremy went back to his landscaping experience and started what would later grow into McKinney Custom Pools. Today Jeremy maintains an active role in the business, working closely with homeowners during the pool design phase and personally overseeing every step of construction to ensure that each job is completed to the highest industry standards. As long-time Pearland residents, Jeremy and his college sweetheart, Anya, are happy to be raising their family here, and enjoy volunteering with various sports groups in the community.

Anya McKinney

After several years working with another local pool builder, Anya McKinney joined Jeremy full time in the business in 2007, using her experience and industry knowledge to help the company make a smooth transition into custom pool construction. Since then she has worked in the family business full time while also raising their three children. Anya is often the first point of contact for new clients, helping to identify the need and scheduling their in-home design consultation with Jeremy. Whether applying for permits to keeping customers up-to-date on their construction progress, Anya plays an active role in seeing that every pool and outdoor living project runs smoothly, and finishes on schedule and to the customer’s complete satisfaction.
